At Brighton, Welbeck will wear No. 18. England will compete for a starting spot with Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly, Florin Andone and another team rookie, Andi Zeqiri.
In sharing about the Welbeck deal, Coach Potter said: “We are delighted that Welbeck is joining the team. It will help us to improve with the other options available in the attacker.
Welbeck is certainly stylish. He is fast and has very good technique. It’s going to make our attack more dangerous. We are happy to add an experienced and qualified player like Welbeck ”.
Brighton has also signed another freelance player in this transfer window, Adam Lallana. Currently, Amex’s home team is 16th in the standings with 3 points after 4 rounds.
Welbeck played 142 games for Man United, winning the Premier League in 2012/13. He joined Arsenal for a fee of £ 16 million in 2014, but suffered from injury problems for most of his time in London.
