On the morning of October 17, the 11th Congress of the Kien Giang Province Party Committee, the period 2020-2025, held the election results. Consequently, 51 members of the Party Committee of the eleventh term elected the Standing Committee of the new Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, including 14 members; elect secretaries, 2 undersecretaries; elect 11 members to the Inspection Committee and elect the Head of the Inspection Committee.
As a result, Mr. Do Thanh Binh was elected to serve as the Secretary of the Kien Giang Party Provincial Committee. The two undersecretaries of the Provincial Party Committee are Mr. Mai Van Huynh (Secretary and Chairman of the H. Phu Quoc People’s Committee) and Mr. Lam Minh Thanh (Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People’s Committee). Mr. Pham Hoang Nam (Provincial Chief Inspector) was elected Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Do Thanh Binh (born 1967, Thoi Binh’s hometown, Ca Mau) has a master’s degree in economics. Before being elected Secretary of the Kien Giang Party Provincial Committee, Binh held many positions: Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vinh Thuan District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Thuan People’s Committee, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the H. Vinh. Thuan, secretary of the Vinh Thuan (Kien Giang) district party committee, permanent deputy head of the organizing committee of the Kien Giang provincial party committee, head of the organizing committee of the Kien Giang provincial party committee. From July 2018 to June 2020, Mr. Binh was a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Kien Giang Province. In July 2020-16.10.2020, he held the position of Undersecretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial People’s Committee.
