According to Mr. Huyen, around 7:30 am on October 16, people discovered a young woman walking up the bridge towards Vu Dong towards the center of Thai Binh city, then Climb up the bridge railing and plunge into the Tra Ly River.
Due to the unexpected incident, the pedestrians were unable to turn around in time, just to cheer.
Hearing the chants, Mr. Dao Van Tien (55 years old, near the Vu Dong Bridge) cut a banana and rushed into the river to save people, but due to the rapid flow of the river water, he could not save time. Another resident who lived nearby also ran out, but the girl was completely sunk.
In the scene on the bridge, only the girls’ shoes remain.
The Vu Dong Commune Police identified the girl who was jumping off the bridge as N. (16 years old, resident of Vu Dong Commune, Thai Binh City). This young woman’s house is only a few hundred meters from the Vu Dong Bridge.
After the incident, the local government coordinated with the family to hire a search team, but because the river water is still very large and flowing fast, the search has not been successful.
