On October 16, at the XI Congress of the Kien Giang Party Committee, 2020-2025 period, Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee to implement the Politburo decision, appointed Mr. Nguyen Thanh. Previously, in Decision No. 1518 / QD-TTg, the Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of the XIV National Assembly of Kien Giang Province, hold the post of Vice Minister of Construction.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi was born in 1976, Hometown: Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province; PhD in Construction Engineering Sciences. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi used to hold the following positions: Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Vice Minister of Construction before being re-elected as Deputy Secretary of the Kien Giang Party Provincial Committee for the period 2010-2015 a as of March 2014.. In October 2015, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi was elected Secretary of the Kien Giang Party Committee, Period X, Period 2015-2020.
