About four in five experts on national security and other sectors in the United States, Europe and Asia believe that the United States can now win a war with China.
However, this proportion is cut in half when asked about the winner if war breaks out in a decade. China is rapidly expanding its military size, although the United States remains a leader in many areas. Meanwhile, most of the survey participants said there was little risk of armed conflict.
Furthermore, about 71% of experts and 42% of people surveyed said that US policies to respond economically to China also hurt US interests.
When asked about the best way to deal with China in terms of a national security threat, four out of five Americans suggested that they should work with other countries with similar views.
