Particularly in case of grade 4 anaphylaxis, 4 hours after the emergency, the baby died. The remaining four cases are being controlled and treated by the General Hospital of Son La. Currently, the 4 children are actively monitored in the Hospital’s Pediatric Department and treated according to the protocol of the Ministry of Health.
Specifically, the patient who died is Pham Gia H. (SN 2020) who lives in Ban Ai, Chieng Xom commune, city of Son La, hospitalized at 1:00 p.m. on October 12. Before 10 am on October 12, H. was vaccinated with the first injection and the 5-in-1 vaccine at the Chieng Xom commune health station.
After about 2 hours after the injection, the child appeared cyanotic, was breathing fast, the family took him back to the Commune Health Station and injected him with 1 dose of Adrenaline, then continued to Son La General Hospital for emergency. When he was admitted to the hospital, he was lethargic, with cyanosis all over his body, cold extremities, rapid breathing, cleft in the chest, no breathing of his own, cardiac arrest, no bleeding under the skin. Diagnosis of 4 suspected anaphylaxis after 1 injection of 5 in 1 vaccine.

The remaining children are Lo Quang K. (2020); living in Phua Con village, Chieng An neighborhood; Lo Thi Thu H. (SN 2020) and Lo Minh Đ. (SN 2020) live in Ban Tong, Chieng Xom district; Tong Anh D. (SN 2020) lives in group 3, Chieng An neighborhood, Son La city. After vaccination, the children showed signs of anaphylaxis, so their family took the emergency to the General Hospital of the Son La province.
