Da Nang processed 9 cases of Chinese who entered the ‘underground’

Da Nang police discovered 133 Chinese who entered illegally, of which 9 cases were prosecuted.

On the afternoon of October 7, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, director of the Da Nang Police, said that since July the city police verified and discovered 133 Chinese entries.

All the people who entered Da Nang illegally during the second Covid-19 outbreak, when detected, were centrally quarantined and sampled for nCoV testing.

The authorities have prosecuted nine cases, with 21 defendants, including 11 Chinese. One case was tried, 67 people who entered illegally were handed over to the Chinese police.

According to General Vien, the police investigation has made it clear that at least 10 accommodation businesses accept foreigners who enter illegally. In addition, many Vietnamese take transport from the border, take care of food, accommodation and deal with the police in their declaration of stay.

“The causes of foreigners entering illegally are many, but it is impossible not to mention the support of the Vietnamese people. The people have improved the citizen responsibility of the country,” added Mr. Vien.

Not only Da Nang, the police discovered the illegal entry of Chinese into Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Dong Nai … for a fee. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said there was lax management of immigration in the localities.
