Following this incident, on September 29, Ms. HT sent a complaint to the school administrators. In the application, Ms. HT stated that, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, parents do not have to pay money outside of the regulations. But the class of parents of their children proposed to collect the fund with the amount of 700,000 VND.
According to Ms. HT, she initially thought this fund was to help student learning and, with the consent of the school administrators, should pay. But then, seeing the unreasonable income and expenses and the unclear use of many purposes, she reflected it to the parents.
“After the report, the classroom teacher announced that this is a voluntary fund, I have the right to pay and not to pay. Other parents have agreed and confirmed this. Both the principal and the parent team. It is confirmed that teachers and schools are not related to this rate ”, informed Mrs. HT.
According to Ms. HT: “Due to such confirmation, I requested to recover the amount paid. In my personal opinion, if the school doesn’t control it, then all income and expenses are invalid. But why is it used for student activities on campus? ”.
After that, Ms. HT said it would be done if she just went there, but her son was taunted by some classmates for his mother’s small fund contributions.
Parents complained about 5 problems
In the complaint, Ms. HT suggested to the Truong Dinh High School Board of Trustees to answer and resolve some questions.
“First, why is it irrelevant to form groups, to collect funds in the classroom and in the classroom teacher?
Second, why is the income mainly spent on school and student activities that the classroom teacher and the school are not related to?
Fourth, why did the teacher keep quiet to let the parents’ association slander me, personally offend me in the parent group created by the teacher without a single opinion or word to discourage me? Is silence consent?
Fifth, the request to clarify what this fundraiser has to do with the school and that student attendance is affected by the fundraiser, who is responsible? ”.
