Around 6:00 PM on September 23, Thuy An borrowed a friend’s car and drove P. to work. Passing by Ms. Mai’s grocery store on Le Van Sy Street, Ward 14, District 3, Thuy An stopped and asked to buy coffee. Seeing Ms Mai’s bag of money, Thuy An became greedy, motioning for P. to sneak out and steal and then the two of them got in the car and drove off.

After going through a section, Thuy An stopped the car to check the property and found that there were 185,000 VND and 3 scratch cards with the face value of 60,000 VND. With this money she buys drugs with her husband.

The money theft was caught on camera, then someone posted it on social media, causing public frustration.

The information was quickly received by the District 3 Police and later verified. By professional measures, on the afternoon of September 30, the police arrested Thuy An at a hotel in Binh Hung Hoa A neighborhood, Binh Tan district.

It is worth mentioning that during the inspection, the police even caught Thuy An and her husband using drugs. Thuy An said that she and her husband have been using drugs for more than a year. Drugs are taken from acquaintances and brought to the hotel to “get high”.
