When implementing the operation process between reservoirs in the Red River basin, the Central Steering Committee for the prevention of natural disasters ordered the Hoa Binh Lake Hydroelectric Company to open an outlet in the bottom at 8:00 a.m. on December 30. September.
The upstream rain and flood situation remains complicated, depending on the actual situation, it may continue to open more discharge gates at the bottom of the Son La, Hoa Binh and Thac Ba lakes.

To proactively respond and limit the damage caused by the flooding of the reservoirs, the Central Steering Committee for the Prevention of Natural Disasters asks the Command Committees of the provinces and cities: Son La, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, informing organizations of all levels of authorities, people, organizations with activities in the river, along the river; aquaculture establishments in rivers, means of transport by water; berths for horizontal boats; productive and commercial activities, exploitation of sand and gravel know information on discharge of floods in hydroelectric reservoirs to take initiatives in preventive measures, to guarantee the safety of people and property.
