Although he is still old enough for re-election as prescribed, Trung said he applied for re-election for personal reasons.
“For personal reasons, for the general purpose, to create favorable conditions for Da Nang City staff consolidation work in the coming period,” Trung said.
Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Da Nang City Party Committee Organizing Committee, said that in addition to Mr. Trung, many people who are members also asked not to join the re-election for the next term.
“These people are still of working age but not old enough for re-election, so they resign on November 1, after the congress,” Thuong said.
Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung was born on May 25, 1963, he is from Dien Hong Commune, Dien Ban City, Quang Nam Province.
She graduated from Security University with a minor in English and has a Master of Laws.
The chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Council used to work in the police service, then he returned to the post of deputy director of the Da Nang City Department of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Trung used to hold the positions of Secretary of the Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee, Head of the Da Nang City Party Committee Office, and Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Council.
On July 9, 2018, Mr. Trung was elected Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Council, replacing Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh.
