The Chelsea homepage officially confirmed the successful signing of Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Chelsea officially successfully recruited Edouard Mendy from Rennes. The Senegalese goalkeeper joins the Blues on a five-year contract worth £ 22 million. Details of the contract have yet to be announced.
On the day of the new team’s launch, the 28-year-old goalkeeper shared:

Edouard Mendy became Chelsea’s seventh contract in the 2020 summer market. Previously, the Stamford Bridge team successfully recruited Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Kai Havertz.
Last season Edouard Mendy played for Rennes in Ligue 1. He only conceded 31 goals in 33 starts before the tournament was canceled due to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic.
