Two more new cases of Covid-19 were isolated immediately after entry.

From 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on September 18, Vietnam recorded 2 new cases, all of which were quarantined immediately after their arrival in Khanh Hoa:

Specifically:

– PATIENT 1067 (BN1067): 36-year-old male patient residing in Vien An commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province.

– DISEASE 1068 (BN1068): 36-year-old male patient residing in Thanh Phu commune, Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province.

On September 11, both patients had a history of exposure to the positive SARS-CoV-2 virus in Pakistan. On September 13-15, both patients from Pakistan (transit to Qatar, Korea) entered Cam Ranh Airport on flight QH461, isolated immediately after their entry into Khanh Hoa. On September 16, samples were taken from the patients for testing and sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute. On September 17, both patients tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, both patients are in isolation and treated at the Cam Lam District Medical Center, Khanh Hoa Province.

Thus, so far, Vietnam has 1,068 patients with Covid-19, of which 35 cases died.

Vietnam also entered the 16th day of not registering cases in the community. Until 6 pm on September 18, our country had a total of 691 cases of Covid-19 in the community, of which the number of new cases from July 25 to the present: 551 cases.

Regarding the number of people in quarantine, the total number of people who have been in close contact and who enter from the epidemic area is under medical supervision (quarantine): 31,319, of which:

– Isolation concentrated in the hospital: 423

– Isolation concentrated in another establishment: 15860

– Isolation at home, address: 15.036.

Regarding the treatment situation, as reported by the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19 Diseases:
