The fighting spirit of the people of the Nghe An – Ha Tinh provinces in the years 1930-1931 was under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Since 2/3/1930, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the struggles against the yoke of feudal colonialism took place simultaneously in many localities of the country.

At the Trung Ky Central Committee, the large-scale protest in Vinh – Ben Thuy on the morning of May 1, 1930 with thousands of workers and peasants raised the red hammer and sickle flag and fighting banners in response to the struggle of people at the national level.

The fighting quickly spread to many other towns in the province, forming a strong and vibrant movement.

In September, the fighting movement reached its peak, beginning with a demonstration of more than 20,000 farmers in Thanh Chuong district demanding the abolition of taxes and political imprisonment. Faced with the massive attack by the town, the local trenches had to flee.

The struggle for the redistribution of land, the abolition of personal taxes, political imprisonment spread to the districts of Anh Son, Dien Chau, Can Loc, Nam Dan … with the participation of thousands of farmers in a vibrant environment . jacuzzi.

The movement was taken to the top with the struggle of 8,000 peasants in the Hung Nguyen district on September 12, 1930 under the slogan “Destroy imperialism! Feudal island”. The French colonialists sent bombers to fire machine guns at the retreating protesters in the city of Vinh, killing 217 people, wounding 125, burning 177 roofs and many burned villages.

The French colonial persecution did not impede the peasant movement, but it made the fighting hotter, which greatly frightened the colonial government.

Faced with the fighting spirit of the people, the feudal government in many places disintegrated and collapsed. Red Farm branches and organizations managed and directed all activities in the village and established the Soviet government, the first Soviet government in Vietnam.

Many new policies to guarantee human rights, such as freedom of assembly, abolition of ridiculous taxes, plowing fields, education … were implemented under the Soviet government.

Although it only existed for 7 months and still in its infancy, the Soviet Union of Nghe Tinh left a good impression in the first public-agricultural state, not in a historical precedent, fulfilling the aspiration of independence, freedom of the people who lost their country , they lived in slavery.

This is the first dress rehearsal of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which not only raises the problem of the alliance of workers and farmers, the issue of the land and the plowed people, but also affirms the role. The leadership of the party, the theme of political struggle combined with armed struggle, created step by step the position and the strength for our nation to advance toward the victory of the August Revolution of 1945.
