Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov apologized to the Serbian President for a “vulgar” post by spokesperson Zakharova.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova generated controversy last week when she posted a photo of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the White House during a meeting with US President Donald Trump.

In the photo, Mr. Vucic sits across from the President of the United States. But then he posted a photo of the actress sitting cross-legged in a scene from the 1992 movie “Original Instinct” when she was questioned by police.

“If you are invited to the White House and your chair is classified as interrogated, then sit the same way as in Figure 2. Whoever it is, believe me,” he wrote on social media.

After this publication by the spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov apologized to Serbian President Vucic, saying that this was an indecent act.

“President Putin never apologized to me for anything, neither did Lavrov, but after this publication, they both apologized,” Vucic said. RIA Novosti. “I did not even mention him and I will never mention him as an educated person,” the Serbian president said.

Vucic arrived at the White House last week, where he attended a signing ceremony to normalize economic relations with Kosovo. Zakharova explained her post, saying her comments had been misinterpreted. Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin criticized Ms Zakharova for “minor malicious intentions” with the post on the above social network.
