Many patients died before reaching the medical center or died of myocarditis, a necrosis of the entire organ that subsequently resulted in damage to multiple organs.

Dr. Hung recalled that 12 hours after entering the hospital, the patient was removed from the ventilator. However, from the “bone and blood” experience of treating patients in the past, doctors predict that snake venom will attack the heart.
As expected, on the second day of admission, the patient’s heart presented arrhythmia. The pacemaker equipment installed by Dr. CK2 Kieu Ngoc Dung, Deputy Director of the Arrhythmia Treatment Department of Cho Ray Hospital installed pacemakers directly on the hospital bed, it was not placed in the arrhythmia treatment unit as generally due to the high risk of death on the road.

In addition, doctors must exchange plasma overnight, dialysis for patients, coordinate with high-dose broad-spectrum antibiotics, consult a hematologist to discuss ways to boost the immune system and filter out as many toxins. Necrosis as much as possible. The next morning, the patient responds to the treatments and improves.
Dr. Ngo Duc Hiep, Head of the Department of Plastic and Modeling Surgery at Cho Ray Hospital, said that up to 5% of the skin of the body has been necrotic and has been treated in a stable manner, especially preserving physiological functions. qualified for discharge from the hospital.
