From first grade to third grade: each subject has only 2 exams / school year
Various evaluation forms
The Ministry of Education and Training also issued Circular 26 that modifies and complements several articles of the Regulation on evaluation and classification of secondary and high school students issued together with Circular No. 58/2011 / BGD-DT dated December 12, 2011 Minister of Education and Training, with many changes such as: reduction of points, diversification of examination forms; supplement an important language course, such as mathematics, literature in classifying students.
Mr Sai Cong Hong, Deputy Head of the Department of Secondary Education (Ministry of Education and Training), said that one of the main changes in the assessment of secondary students is that all subjects are assessed through feedback, rather than because just scoring as before. This helps teachers pay more attention to each student, assess their progress rather than just grading, but the students themselves don’t know how they should try or adapt to learn more effectively. .
Raise the level of foreign language subjects and stop being “weak learners”
In accordance with the provisions of Circular 58 regarding semester and school-year grading standards, students will be classified as excellent students if the average score for all subjects is 8.0 or higher, in which the average score of 1 in 2 math, language arts 8.0 or higher. Similarly, students who are well scored should have subject average grades of 6.5 or higher, in which, the average grade of 1 in 2 math, literature subjects of 6.5 or higher. However, the provisions of Circular 26 have added foreign language subjects to become one of the conditional subjects for the classification of students. Specifically, to achieve good students they must have a score of 1 in 3 in math, language arts, and foreign languages of 8.0; Good students should have a score of 1 in 3 of 6.5 or higher.
It should be noted in the new regulation that the assessment and classification of “weak students” still applies, instead of the phrase “need more practice” for students with unsatisfactory grades and behavior. requirements rated moderate or higher.
