In his speech, Xi claimed that China, where Covid-19 started, accomplished “a great feat” in fighting human disease. According to him, China acted openly and transparently, making concrete efforts to save millions of lives around the world during the pandemic.

He also said that China was the first major economy to recover during the pandemic, demonstrating “the country’s strong energy and vitality,” and “a world leader in both disease control and recovery.” Economic recovery “.

The major strategic achievement gained from China’s war on Covid-19 fully demonstrates the superiority of socialism and the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Xi said. He added that China has improved its biosecurity capacity.

The Chinese president said that the country had offered to support the international community against the epidemic to the best of its ability, despite enormous pressure to control the epidemic in the country. China exported 151.5 billion masks, 1.4 billion protective clothing and 209,000 respirators to support the global war on Covid-19 from March 15 to September 6.

Covid-19 started in Wuhan, the capital of central China’s Hubei province, late last year. The epidemic appeared in more than 210 countries and territories, causing the infection of more than 27.3 million people and almost 888,000 deaths.

China has applied drastic strategies against the epidemic with a great contribution from the team of doctors and epidemiologists to control the epidemic. As of today, the country marks the 23rd consecutive day that it has not registered community infections. All new Chinese cases are imported.

However, the administration of US President Donald Trump has repeatedly accused China of a lack of transparency, with hiding information about the epidemic and missing an important moment to stop the pandemic. Trump announced last month that his good relations with Xi had changed after the Covid-19 outbreak.
