The defendant Bui Viet Hieu (77 years old) was the first interviewer. However, due to the intention to take over the land, Mr. Hieu and Mr. Le Dinh Kinh (former secretary of the Dong Tam Commune Party Committee) frequently incited people to petition.

Regarding the act against the executor of the public service that occurred on the morning of January 9, the defendant Xiao claimed that he had come to sleep at Mr. Kinh’s house the night before. When the Hanoi police did not enter Hoanh village, the defendant Hieu threw two gas pump bottles at the task force and went to Mr. Kinh’s room without knowing how the outside incident happened.
During interrogation, the defendant Nguyen Van Tuyen also claimed that Mr. Kinh dragged him to join the lawsuit and then divide the land.
Plan to prepare gas pumps, buy grenades
At the trial, the defendant Le Dinh Cong and some others manufactured many bombs and gas, bought grenades “in order to conserve the land”. The defendant, along with Bui Viet Hieu and Nguyen Van Tuyen, discussed buying grenades, the defendant directly instructed Nguyen Quoc Tien to buy grenades.
As for the source of money to buy grenades, the defendant publicly was the money that mobilized the people of Dong Tam to contribute more than 48 million VND to hire a lawyer. They gave the lawyer 25 million VND, the remaining money to buy grenades.
“Why do we have to use grenades to hold the ground?” asked the president.
The defendant publicly discussed with team members that when functional forces in acquiring land, they will request to make related decisions.
“If not, but deliberately building, the first step will be to use bricks to stop, then it will be the gas pump and the last step, the defendants will use grenades,” the defendant publicly stated.

Defendant Cong admitted to committing crimes against the authorities in Dong Tam Commune on the morning of January 9. When the police arrived, the defendant directly threw a gas bomb and “threw a grenade but did not pull the pin.”
Le Dinh Cong, one of the leaders of the case, said he deeply regretted that 3 policemen were killed when the case happened.
“After the defendant was taken into custody, it was learned that 3 policemen were killed, so the defendant was very sorry. At today’s trial, he apologized to the 3 families of the soldiers who died in Dong Tam and hope They forgive us, “said the defendant Cong, clasping his hands in front of his stomach and bowing his face.
The defendant also admitted to realizing his mistakes, sincerely informing the investigating agency to hope to enjoy the leniency of the law.
The defendant Le Dinh Chuc also claimed to have held up three bottles of gasoline bombs thrown at the task force. When the police came out of the village gate, the defendant pulled out the grenade pin and threw it, but it did not explode.
When he heard someone fall into the hole, the defendant ran into the well area, holding an iron tube attached with a knife to push the pig into the hole. When a fire broke out, the defendant Chuc poured two cans of gasoline into the well.
“When we met Nguyen Quoc Tien, the defendant told Tien that we had to burn some guys in the hole with gasoline.”
According to the prosecution, the defendant Chuc and Le Dinh Doanh poured gasoline directly into the hole and lit a fire. As a result, 3 policemen died from suffocation and burned.
