On the morning of September 3, at the Party Headquarters, General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong chaired the meeting of the Politburo collective with the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to give his comments on the draft document. and the personnel plan at the Party Committee level presented to the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, 2020-2025 period.

The meeting was part of the Politburo’s work program with party members directly reporting to the Central Government to provide comments on draft documents and personnel plans at the Party Committee level ahead of the 2020-2025 Party Congress.

Before that, after 2 weeks, 4 hours of work, the Politburo worked with 27/67 Party Committees under the Central Committee. The previous meetings were divided into groups, chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Permanent Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong.

This is the first meeting with the participation of the Politburo collective, chaired by the Secretary General and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
