According to the National Steering Committee for the Control and Prevention of Covid-19 Diseases (Steering Committee), 2 new cases announced this afternoon, 2.9, are 1045 and 1046 patients, including 1 community case in Hai Duong and 1 case Quarantined in Khanh Hoa.

Patient 1045 in Hai Duong (male, 72 years old) residing in Thong Nhat Commune, H. Gia Loc District, Hai Duong City.

On August 19, the patient developed fever, headache, and fatigue. On August 30, the patient was admitted to the hospital, examined, and quarantined at Hai Duong General Hospital.

On 1.9, the Hai Duong Center for Disease Control and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Hanoi) tested the patient positive for SARS-CoV-2.

The patients were transferred for isolation, treatment and testing at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2 (Dong Anh district, Hanoi). On September 2.9, the test results continued to show positive results for patients with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Patient 1046 registered in Khanh Hoa (male, 30 years old) was a member of the crew aboard the Nippon Maru (ship awaiting exchange of goods in Japan).

The patient’s address is Hoang Dieu Ward, Thai Binh City, Thai Binh Province.

On August 30, the patient on the ship Nippon Maru from Japan imported Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), was quarantined immediately after entry, took samples at Khanh Hoa, the sample was sent to the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute for analysis .

Results from day 2.9 identified the patient positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently isolated patient, undergoing treatment at Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

At 6:00 p.m. this afternoon, Vietnam registered 1,046 patients infected with Covid-19, of which 690 cases were caused by domestic infections; 550/690 is a new case related to Da Nang since July 25.
According to the report of the Steering Committee Treatment Subcommittee, the cure of 11 patients was announced today, including: 6 patients at Da Nang Lung Hospital and 5 patients at Hoa Vang Field Hospital (TP. Danang).
Currently, 746 cases of Covid-19 are cured in Vietnam, 34 deaths.
