On September 1, the Dong Nai Provincial Forest Protection Department said that a wild elephant had successfully given birth to a baby elephant in Cat Tien National Park (Thanh Son Commune, Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province ).

According to initial information, on August 31, people from Thanh Son commune discovered a group of wild elephants brought back to the field by a resident at the edge of the natural forest, and there was an elephant giving birth.
Checking the scene, the functional forces coordinated people to collect the elephant placenta that weighed about 30 kg.
Mr. Le Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Forest Protection Department, said that this is not the first time that wild elephants have given birth in Dong Nai. Before that, rangers and villagers also discovered some baby elephants in the wild elephant herd.
A herd of wild elephants in Dong Nai identified 14 children a few years ago, recently counting four more baby elephants, with an ivory elephant leading the way.
However, elephants can roam large areas in Southeast Asia.
