The test results for both patients were positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, both patients are isolated and treated at Ba Ria Hospital.

– PATIENT 1043 (BN1043) in Hanoi: a 29-year-old patient residing in Lien Bao, Vinh Yen, Vinh Phuc.

On August 28, a patient from India returned to Noi Bai Airport on flight 6E8679, was quarantined immediately after entry, and took samples for testing in Hanoi. The patient’s test results were positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, both patients are in isolation and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

– PATIENT 1044 (BN1044) in Phu Tho: a 62-year-old male patient of Indian nationality is a specialist. On August 28, a patient from India returned to Noi Bai airport on flight 6E8679, was quarantined immediately after entry, and took a sample for testing in Phu Tho to give suspicious results.

The patient was isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, where samples were taken from the patient and tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Number of people in quarantine: Total number of people in close contact and entering from the epidemic area under medical supervision (quarantine): 57,097, of which:

– Isolation concentrated in the hospital: 1,111

– Isolation concentrated in another establishment: 16,006

– Isolation at home, accommodation: 39,980

Treatment status: according to the report of the National Steering Committee for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19 Diseases: in one day, the cure of 12 patients was announced in:
