In an interview with Bloomberg on 13.5, Sanofi CEO Paul Hudson said the United States could receive the Covid-19 vaccine sooner compared to the rest of the world if the French corporation could successfully manufacture the type. This vaccine Hudson explained that the United States is the leader in providing funding for Sanofi’s vaccine research.

However, Mr Hudson’s speech has angered French medical associations, as Sanofi has benefited from tens of millions of euros in research support policies from the French state in recent years, according to AFP.
“For us, it is unacceptable to give priority to that country for financial reasons,” French Deputy Finance Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher told Sud.

Ms. Pannier-Runacher said she contacted Sanofi after Mr. Hudson made the statement. “The main representative of Sanofi in France confirmed to me that the vaccine (Covid-19) will be provided for each country and, obviously, also for the French,” said Pannier-Runacher.
