According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, on December 12, the Toyama – Chuo Police Department announced the arrest of a Vietnamese person, originally from Hai Phong City, who was working at Takeda Shoji Company, Toyama Prefecture, suspected from being involved in the murder of a Vietnamese citizen from Hà Tĩnh province.

Local police are currently conducting investigations, gathering evidence related to the case.

Earlier on April 23, the Ha Tinh Province Department of Foreign Affairs sent a written request to help search for missing citizens in Japan. The Foreign Ministry has ordered the Vietnam Embassy in Japan to contact the local police to verify and search for this citizen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ordered the Consular Department to coordinate with the national and foreign functional agencies to resolve the interests of the workers in accordance with the regulations, guiding and supporting the families of the victims to handle the procedures to care for the victims. .
