On the afternoon of May 8, the Da Nang People’s Court opened a first instance to hear the case of robbery and murder of prostitutes in a disguised barber shop.
HDXX sentenced Nguyen Van Luc (26 years old, resident in village 10, Quynh Tam commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) to 16 years for murder and 6 years for robbery. The victim in the case is a prostitute and an old woman.

According to the indictment, during his time working on a project near the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), Luc contradicted his co-worker and quit his job. In the absence of money, Luc intended to steal the properties of the prostitutes.
On the morning of October 7, 2019, Luc walked to buy a knife from the market, hid it in a bag, and then went to a disguised barber shop on Nguyen Luong Bang Street (Lien Chieu District), request the price of the prostitute Ms. NTTT (36 years old, hometown of District 5, Nga Bay District, Hậu Giang, temporary residence on Tô Hiệu Street, Liên Chiểu District), Ms. T. replied “two hundred”.
They both went to the bedroom behind the store, Ms. T. first asked for the money, then gave her 500,000 dong, Ms. T. asked Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong (71) who was growing vegetables behind her to exchange the money and return it to Luc.
While shopping for sex, Luc promised to “tip” Mrs. T. 500,000 VND extra to lure T. closer to the bag. The force of the knife in her pocket, adjacent to the knife in Mrs. T.’s neck asked for money, Mrs. T. resisted and the knife hurt her.
Ms. Phuong heard a request for help and immediately grabbed the iron bar to knock on the door. The force restrained Ms. T. to request that the door be opened.
Force stabbed Ms. Phuong many times and then turned to try to stab Ms. T. but this woman caught up with her. Luc collected money, grabbed a bag and fled. Ms. Phuong was cured on time, thus saving her life and injuring 70%.
