An unidentified US official on April 20 revealed to CNN that Washington was verifying information that the North Korean leader had just undergone surgery.

Another unidentified official said “Kim Jong-un’s health concerns are reliable,” but “the severity of the situation is difficult to assess.”
At the same time, the Daily NK of South Korea reported that Kim had “undergone cardiac surgery” due to her habit of smoking, overworking and being overweight.
