Covid-19 contagion regulations, like at home, social distance also affect the work of Putin and Russian ministers. On Monday, the OPEC + group meeting took place online, followed by the G20 Online Conference of Energy Ministers.
Almost all of Russia is obeying a blockade that lasts until the end of this month, set by Putin. People are required to stay home unless they need to purchase essential goods and must maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter.
Since April 13, Moscow residents want to leave the city without government permission, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. This helps to avoid the possibility of a disease spreading from Moscow to other areas.
Mr. Putin participated in an online meeting of the G20 group.
As of April 12, Russia recorded 2,186 additional cases of Covid-19 and it was the largest increase of the day. A total of 15,770 cases of Covid-19 in Russia and 130 deaths.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said hospitals in Mosow were “doing everything possible” to combat the epidemic. The next two weeks will be a period of time to assess whether the epidemic peaks in Russia.
Peskov said that if the president did not sign a national blockade, Russia would have faced a much higher number of Covid-19 infections.
