These 45 people lost contact with 2 mountaineering groups from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Son district.

Mr. Nhuan said that according to the tourist’s schedule, on the night of November 30, the group of tourists would stay at the village cow farm. This cow farm area is quite flat so visitors are likely to be safe, just worry about lack of food. “I just hope that this group of tourists goes on time, does not go to mountain areas, streams,” said Nhuan.

According to initial information, this group traveled in bed from Ho Chi Minh City to the Khanh Son district. Then hire 9 local people to guide the way, bring furniture for trekking (walking through the forest). On Saturday (November 28), the heavy rains began to cause an increase in floodwaters, this group began to lose contact with relatives, because there was no telephone reception in the mountains.

According to the schedule, the group of 27 tourists, 7 local people will be in the Ta Giang cow farm area.

Meanwhile, according to the report of the Van Ninh District Fire Prevention and Rescue Command, on November 27, 3 people went to the forest to cut fruit in Thac Bay – Keo Cho, Van Binh commune. On the way home at 9 o’clock on November 29, a person named Tran Van Quoc (born 1996, residing in Phu Cang Village 1, Van Phu Commune) was swept away by the floods.

After receiving the information, the Van Ninh District Military Command mobilized forces, together with the local authorities of the Van Phu commune and their families to organize a search for the disappeared, but so far there have been no results.
