Four tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, crossing the suspension bridge to explore the national park in the Lac Duong district, were swept away by the floods, two people were saved, two women disappeared, on the afternoon of November 29.
Around 15:00, the tour group explores Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park (Da Chais Commune, Lac Duong District), about 40 km from Da Lat. When four people, including three women and a man, walked on a suspension bridge over the Da Nhim River, they were suddenly swept away by flooding. The lucky couple clinging to the forest tree, rescued by the rescue force.
The Lac Duong district government mobilized more than 200 people to urgently carry out rescue work. On the night of the same day, the area had heavy rains, but forces still tried to find two missing women (28 and 31 years old).
According to district leaders, this group of visitors is part of a group of 64 people from Ho Chi Minh City who will join the national park tour starting November 28. After rebuilding the 2,287 m high Bidoup Peak, the roof of the Langbiang Plateau, they returned and had an accident.
Since last night, Lam Dong province has had heavy rains, causing rivers and streams to rise. According to the update of the automatic rain recording station, currently the area of Da Nhim commune, Da Chais (Lac Duong) has rainfall above 120mm (the highest in Lam Dong).
