According to the Steering Committee, the three new cases announced this afternoon were the 1,075 – 1,077 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam.

3 patients were all imported cases, immediately isolated (2 cases in Phu Tho, 1 case in Hanoi).

In which patient 1075 (male, 33 years old, Taiwanese) and patient 1076 (male, 58 years old, Taiwanese) are technical experts.
On September 18, both patients from Guangdong, China, entered the Huu Nghi (Lang Son) border gate and concentrated in isolation immediately after their entry into Phu Tho province.
On September 19, samples were taken from the patients for the first time and negative results were found for SARS-CoV-2. On September 27, samples were taken from the patients for the second time and on September 28, both patients tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Currently, 2 patients are isolated and treated at Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2 (Dong Anh District, Hanoi).

Patient 1077 (male, 48 years old, Indian nationality) is the specialist. On September 13, patients entered from India on flight number 6E8979 and concentrated in isolation in Hanoi.

The patient’s first test result on September 15 was negative for SARS-CoV-2; His second test result on September 28 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2.
According to the Steering Committee, of the 1,077 Covid-19 cases in Vietnam since the beginning of the epidemic, 999 cases have been cured; 35 dead. 10,995 people who have been in close contact with the case and who entered from the epidemic area are under medical monitoring.
