On January 25, the Vietnam Aviation Administration said it had just sent an official letter to airlines regarding the opening of ticket sales for the 2020-2021 winter season, including the Lunar New Year.
Consequently, through the inspection and monitoring of airline ticket opening activities in the airlines electronic information system, the agency found that airlines are currently opening ticket sales in excess of the number of flights. The landing was confirmed (time slot), except for Pacific Airlines.
Therefore, the Aviation Administration requires Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways to urgently stop the sale of tickets that exceed the confirmed slot, otherwise it will not beincubation and confirmation of flight slots for the programming period of the next season.
Due to the translation of COVID-19, on the occasion of Tan Suu Lunar New Year’s Day 2021, the Vietnam Aviation Administration said that Vietnamese airlines would not operate international routes as usual, but instead focus on domestic routes. .
The airlines plan to operate an average of more than 1,000 domestic flights / day, 28% more than in the same period last year and the peak day of reaching 1,200 flights / day, 25.3% more than in the same period.
Specifically, Vietnam Airlines and Vasco operate an average of 379 flights / day, with a peak of 504 flights / day, an increase of 35.5% and 31% respectively compared to Tet in 2020.
Vietjet Air operates an average of 371 flights / day, reaching a maximum of 375 flights / day, an increase of 17% and 28% respectively compared to the previous year Tet.
Bamboo Airways operates an average of 180 flights / day, reaching a maximum of 190 flights / day, an increase of 27.5% and 34% respectively compared to Tet last year.
Similarly, Jestar Pacific operates an average of 124 flights / day, reaching a maximum of 130 flights / day, 25% and 28% more than the previous year Tet, respectively. Vietravel Airlines private recruits operate 16 flights / day.
In addition to daytime flights, Vietnamese airlines will increase the operational load of night flights from 10:00 am to 7:00 am the next day, with a total average of 140-150 flights / day.
