Although the monthly salary for engineering graduates is 21,000 rupees (6.6 million dong), in recent months they have only received 12,000 to 16,000 rupees (3.7 to 5 million dong). Since the night of December 11, Wistron employees have been discussing salaries in internal groups. Some people said that they only received around 500 rupees (150 thousand dong) of salary on the account.

Wistron received 43 acres (17 hectares) of land in the Narasapura industrial park from the state government, after they proposed to invest around 2.86 billion rupees (900 billion VND) and create jobs for more than 10,000 people. The factory is manufacturing iPhone SE, some medical devices, and devices in Apple’s IoT ecosystem.
