Employees at the Wistron factory, iPhone manufacturing partners in India, protested, crushed, out of frustration over salary and bonuses.
According to the The times of IndiaApproximately 2,000 employees at the Wistron iPhone factory in Narsapura, India, after leaving the shift on December 12, trashed the factory. Group of people enrage, destroying furniture and company machines. Some even tried to set the car on fire. Local functional forces were quickly present on the scene to stabilize order.

Source of The times of India talk The cause of the mutiny was related to salaries and bonuses. Employees are angry that the company does not pay on time. Although the monthly salary for engineering graduates is 21,000 rupees (6.6 million dong), in recent months they have only received 12,000 to 16,000 rupees (3.7 to 5 million dong). The salary of those who do not graduate from engineering is reduced to 8,000 rupees (2.5 million dong) a month.
Wistron representatives said they are coordinating with local police to conduct investigations. Preliminary information said that people outside the company did not participate in the riot.
Since the night of December 11, Wistron employees have been discussing salaries in internal groups. Some people said that they only received around 500 rupees (150 thousand dong) of salary on the account.
Wistron received 43 acres (17 hectares) of land in the Narasapura industrial park from the state government, after they proposed to invest around 2.86 billion rupees (900 billion VND) and create jobs for more than 10,000 people. The factory is manufacturing iPhone SE, some medical devices, and devices in Apple’s IoT ecosystem.
