17 additional cases of Covid-19, nationwide there were 1,094 cases

On the afternoon of September 29, the Ministry of Health announced 17 additional cases of Covid-19 infection. These people are Vietnamese citizens from the Russian Federation, immediately quarantined upon entry into Bac Lieu.

On September 26, these 17 people from the Russian Federation returned to Vietnam on flight QH9495, entering Can Tho airport. After that, they were transferred to the isolated province of Bac Lieu and concentrated in 2 areas (A, B) of the Bac Lieu student dormitory.

The Bac Lieu Center for Disease Control took samples from these people on September 27. On August 28, the samples were sent to the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh examined and discovered 17 positive cases for SARS-CoV-2.

Patient 1093 is male, born in 1997, in Gia Binh, Bac Ninh.

Patient 1094 is male, born 1987, in Quy Hop, Nghe An.

Vietnam registered 17 new cases of Covid-19

Thus, as of 6:00 p.m. today, Vietnam has registered 1,074 cases of Covid-19, of which 691 cases were caused by domestic infections. During the last 27 days, our country has not registered cases in the community.

The Ministry of Health also announced today that there were 8 additional cases of Covid-19 cured, including patients 1051, 980, 1062, 674, 561, 981, 750 and 791. In which, patients 561 and 981 were 2 Covid- The last 19 from Quang Nam Province were discharged.

The total number of reported cures in the country now stands at 1,007 cases. Those still in treatment have 13 patients who have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times in a row, 3 people tested negative a second time, and 1 case was also negative for the first time. The death toll from Covid-19 is still 35.

Regarding the quarantine situation, so far, our country has only 15,897 people in close contact and entry from epidemic areas that need isolation, of which 270 cases in hospitals, 10,625 in other concentrated isolation facilities, 5,002 people in isolation at home, residence.
