* Many teachers think that the appointment of her as dean by the school is too “fast”, not according to the correct process, after just over a year of faculty, it is not enough management capacity. What do you think about this?

– I was the first group of students to major in Korea from the school, then I worked as a lecturer and held managerial positions before being appointed dean at the age of 42, after 16 years working at the school, so understand. about science. During my two years as Head of the Faculty of Korean Studies, in addition to ensuring the number of standard hours and scientific research, I organized and managed the activities of the faculty effectively, enhancing the status and prestige of the faculty.

I was also voted by the collective as a good lecturer, working with an advanced degree, a principal’s certificate of merit, and a school-level emulation soldier on an ongoing basis in the 2017-2020 school years. The content assigned to me by the school “at a rapid pace” was recommended by the teachers to the Government Inspector, the director had already explained this matter.

* According to the lecturers, the dean has many voting rules, evaluating rigid lecturers such as going to a meeting 15 minutes late is considered absent, some absent sessions are judged not to complete homework … She can explain more about this. ?

– In addition to teaching and scientific research, teachers are also obliged to carry out other tasks assigned by their units according to Circular No. 20/2020 / TT-BGDĐT.

Meeting is not only an obligation but also a right of the speakers such as the right to know the information, the right to vote, the right to express personal opinions …, at the same time, attend the meeting in time and fullness. respect for colleagues and the organization.

Arriving 15 minutes late without prior notice is considered absent and the absence of more than 30% of the meetings during the year is one of the reference criteria to evaluate the completion or non-completion of the faculty meeting.

This regulation has been approved by the entire faculty. Being late for a meeting with a good reason is acceptable. In the past, some teachers have not yet fully understood the rules and regulations of the school and their duties, and the introduction of these regulations aims to build better discipline and discipline of the faculty.

However, the final decision on the grading and qualification of officers rests with the school’s Emulation and Reward Council.

The Dean’s opinion is just a baseline. In fact, I have never judged that a lecturer did not complete the assignment for not having attended the meeting correctly, but only to remember it.

In fact, among the speakers who reflect this content, many teachers are students who have been instructed, guided, and helped in work and life since they were students. The fact that his students reflected the truth made the teacher very sad.

Faculty members still come to the faculty office to work, research, prepare lectures, make an appointment with students … There is absolutely no Korean company that opens an office in the faculty office.

* The teachers request their resignation because they think they cannot continue working in the current environment of lack of democracy and solidarity. Do you explain the cause of this situation?

– By receiving suggestions on how to manage, I learned from the experience and tried to have a flexible and smoother way of handling the work. However, under the pressure of a higher workload than before and due to many innovations in the educational environment, some teachers are unfamiliar, have not caught up with and have not understood the problem, leading to reflection, recent recommendations.

I, the faculty and school leaders have repeatedly listened and explained to fix the problem, but this group of speakers still found it inappropriate and no longer in accordance with the new regulations and regulations, so I resigned, not that I lack the managerial capacity .

Teachers need to be asked to fulfill their prescribed obligations, not only for personal purposes, but to build a stronger Korean school, improve the quality of training, and improve. High collective awareness, discipline and responsibility of the members in line with the needs for innovation. .

* What do you think when half of your fellow faculty think that the dean’s qualities, morale, qualifications, and leadership ability are limited, teachers want to have a vote of confidence in the dean?

– Faculty of Korean Studies before the disagreement occurred, there were 24 members, excluding members studying abroad, of which 11 people applied to quit their jobs (12 people applied for leave and then 1 person retired. Single – PV).

During my time as dean, the department had made comprehensive progress: professors had full standard time, more than 90% of professors had scientific research jobs, the quality of training increased (shown through entry benchmarks, graduation rates, complete courses results from student surveys, employer surveys …), various training cooperation programs, exchanges with key Korean government organizations increased even more.

Before and after being appointed, I always try to complete the assigned tasks in the best way, handle the work according to the principle of democratic centralization, look after the interests of all and always put the interests of the faculty first.

I have always been in high demand and I do not work exclusively, authoritarian. My leadership qualities, ethics, character, and abilities, as well as what I contribute to the faculty and school, have been recognized by the faculty and school, as evidenced by the collective vote of my emulation over the years.
