On the morning of September 29, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tich, a resident of Bac Ray 2, who directly cared for this herd, said that the F1 crosses were kept on the farm at 200 m.two for propagation under a conservation project from 2014 to the present.

For about a year, this herd has not received adequate care from the units that manage it, some thirsty, eating only dry straw that lacks nutrients every day

Earlier in 2008, the Gaur (scientific name is Bos gaurus) appeared at the hut in Bac Ray 2 village (Phuoc Binh commune, Bac Ai district) separated the herd, left the forest to the highlands to live and follow the herd of cows from homes.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chuan (who lives in Bac Ray 2) said that while he was herding a herd of cows to graze in the gaur area, domestic cows, especially bulls, were seriously injured. This gaur then courts his cows and companions to give birth to a crossbred cow.

Mr. Katơ Quynh, Undersecretary of Phuoc Binh Commune, said that due to the bull’s courtship of domestic cows for 6 years, 11 cross-breed gaurs, called F1 gaur, were born. In 2014, his father weakened and died at the edge of the forest.

According to the Phuoc Binh National Park, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development allocated 11 F1 gaurs to the Lam Dong Province Science and Technology Application Center for the breeding and conservation of the calf in Phuoc Binh Commune, Bac District Ai, province. Ninh Thuan to date.
