Vice City leaks may place a wild ‘Red Dead 2’ link

Rockstar Games has yet to discover what it has planned for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. For now, fans only know that the next installment of the crime saga is in the works, but a series of unconfirmed GTA 6 leaks claim that the open-world adventure will see a revival of Vice City.

Other so-called “Project Americas” leaks call that as well GTA 6 will also take place in multiple parody American cities and various destinations throughout Latin America. One fan thinks that all of this could mean the return of a great Southern city from Red Dead Redemption 2 is called St. Denis.

On Sunday, Reddit user posted cmputerguy to er / GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit and pointed out that Take-Two Interactive (the publisher of the series) is renewing its ownership of the domains gteevicecityonline.com en gtavi.com. This may just be a smart move for the company to bet claims on both so that random people do not claim them, but it is at least possible that these websites could have a use at some point in the future. If Project Americas really proves to be, and the story and online mode of the game have different cities in the US South and South America, then the reason is that Vice City cow serve as a central hub of sorts.

Then on Monday, Redditor PeddarCheddar11 posted a picture of a signed map of the cities they hope to see in GTA 6 if the rumors of Project Americas are true. They include several U.S. states along with a handful of Caribbean and South American locations, each with parody names given to the area.

We have a rumor and a fantasy theory, but together they paint a compelling picture of how these Project America rumors could manifest in GTA 6.

“My yield spans four hypothetical states,” she wrote. “Pensa (Florida), Lemoyne (Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama) Del Castro (Cuba, not a US state, but a sovereign country, although free passage is allowed) Amañevo (Panamá, Colombia, and northern Brazil …) “

Lemoyne is already included in RDR2 and contains the game’s largest city – Saint Denis – based in New Orleans. If Rockstar really had plans GTA 6 takes place mostly in the South, then a fictional version of The Big Easy would be a perfect fit for the overall theme and tone, as Vice City, the GTA parody on Miami, which is also present on the map.

Rockstar has also built a reputation for linking their games along with cunning Easter eggs and references over the years. There are countless references to the past GTA games in GTA 5 and even a few hat tips for the Red Dead universe.

Including St. Denis in GTA 6 would allow Rockstar a myriad of sprinkles RDR2 references in the very upcoming title, which fans like Redditor vexemo would like.

“Just realized when they did a Southern / Caribbean base GTA card, they could fully deploy Saint Denis there, “she wrote. Considering they have to do a lot of work to make it ‘modern’, it might be a stretch, but it would be great to have little references RDR2 as well as.”

Could Rockstar Saint Denis give a modern makeover for ‘GTA 6’?Rockstar Games

There is one RDR2 location that PeddarCheddar11 does not mention on their map that can also be a perfect fit for GTA 6 if the leaks from Project Americas are accurate, Guarma. The Caribbean local is only visible for a brief chapter in the Western, and GTA 6 could expand on the story of the island.

Rockstar was able to modernize the island and make it a base for drug smuggling of which the protagonist as protagonists were GTA 6 could stop before flying or sailing to Saint Denis or even Vice City.

The world could once be you GTA 6 is announced – if at least the southwestern quarter of it.

GTA 6 is currently in development.
