Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has officially backed Joe Biden for president after being previously stumped for the 2016 failed campaign by Hillary Clinton.

In a clip that will be aired Wednesday, James Atlantic columnist Jemele Hill and her co-host, Cari Champion, said he will campaign again for the Democrats’ ticket.

“We’re at a time when we need change,” James said in the clip, which appears to have been recorded before the Lakers’ Game 1 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the NBA playoffs on Tuesday night.

“To change is all about leadership,” James said, adding, “leadership begins at the top.”

‘Congrats and well deserved sen. Kamala Harris !! ‘ James wrote on Twitter. ‘Love to see and support it! Appreciate that JB. ‘

Before Tuesday’s loss dried up, James and his teammates wore parody MAGA hats, demanding justice for Taylor.

Instead of ‘Great Again’, which was overturned, the hat read ‘Make America Arrest the cops who kill Breonna Taylor.’

President Donald Trump – a vocal critic of James – has condemned athletes protesting during The Star-Spangled Banner.

“People are not happy that players do not stand for our national anthem!” Trump wrote in one tweet.

James and Trump have been in odds for years.

While still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017, James yelled at the defense of his Golden State Warriors rival Stephen Curry, who was off the traditional visit of the NBA champions by Trump after he sat down to say goodbye that he would accept the invitation.

“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” Trump tweeted in September 2017. “Stephen Curry hesitates, so invitation is withdrawn!”

James replied, ‘Your bum @ StephenCurry30 already said he’s not going! So that’s not an invitation. Going to the White House was a great honor until you gave up! ‘

While it's not clear if he's talking exclusively with Stephen Curry or with the entire Warriors team, Trump declared in September 2017 that the 'invitation has been withdrawn!'
