(Update) Phantasy Star Online 2 seems to be coming to Steam very soon, in case you hate Windows launcher

August 5

[[[[To update: Sega has confirmed that PSO2 Coming to Steam on August 5, allowing you to link your existing account and play with Windows / Xbox One users. On the same day, Episode 4 (a major content update) is coming to PC and Xbox One. You can watch the trailer for that below.]

Phantasy Star Online 2 it’s finally in the west … but it might not be on your platform choice.

It hit Xbox One last April, with a PC release in May. The thing is, the PC edition didn’t launch as well, mostly due to some issues with the Windows 10 launcher. While Sega has fixed some of those issues, the experience isn’t silky yet – although Steam might be an option. soon.

Wait Steam! Yes, it appears that Microsoft does not have a Gollum in-game suspension for the foreseeable future, such as a new listing for Phantasy Star Online 2 I just appeared on Steam today. According to the page, it will be out on August 5, which is much earlier than many of us probably anticipate. Yay for options!

This bodes well for the next Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis project, which is also confirmed for PC at the top of the Xbox family of consoles. While everyone feared that this whole western PSO2 Umbrella would be forced into Windows 10, Steam returns to the menu.
