Universal delays opening of Super Nintendo World theme park

The opening of Universal Studios’ Super Nintendo World theme park will be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The area was expected to open sometime this summer.

No date was given for the opening of the park’s Super Nintendo World area, but the Universal Studios branch of Osaka reopened to the premises on June 8 at limited capacity.

The Mario theme area was originally slated to open with the Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Adventure games. Along the way, more areas would be added based on the respective Bowser and Princess Peach castles. When it opens, visitors will be able to explore the park with magnetic bracelets that allow people to interact with the park and score.

The creation of the Super Nintendo World theme park was originally announced in 2015. Although Universal Parks & Resorts President and CEO Tom Williams promised to open the Super Mario World expansions at other Universal Studios locations after the area opens Osaka, we probably won’t see it coming. in America for a long, long time.
