With his heart as his card, Philadelphia Flyers Mascot Gritty began a journey this morning to reunite with his team in Toronto, Canada, as the Flyers were ready to take on the New York Islanders in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Quite bright and early leaving Philadelphia, everything seemed in order for the orange and black-loving mascot, who sent a tweet from his personal account, exclaiming that he “had figured it out” and he “would see you soon, Toronto.” “

Along the way, Gritty obviously showed off her rock-ship skills on the “Niagara River.”

The mascot seemed somewhat disappointed by the lack of “woodfalls”, but the trek continued.

Several hours later it turned out that things were taking a (wrong) turn. Gritty was photographed arriving at his “destination”, for a sign that read “Toronto: The Gem City.”

Unfortunately, the mascot did not realize he was actually in Toronto, Ohio and not Toronto, Canada.

After reflecting on the somewhat troubled journey, Gritty remarks, “Some may say I made mistakes, but I’m a better mascot for this. The search continues. To seduce my old friend Bono, ‘I still have not found anything. I ‘I seek.’ “
After making new friends and seeing new Sights in the Gem City, the mascot has regrouped and is planning a return to Philadelphia to cheer on the team from afar / continue to be placed in the NHL Bubble.
