We’re now several console reveals in the year, and while the Xbox Series S leaked a bit ahead of schedule, the internet has once again produced some colorful and weird reactions to the new piece of tech. You know how this goes.
When looking for inspiration for their memes, it seems that most people immediately jumped to the closest available object in their house. Comparisons ranged from washing machines to, well, a cooktop, while some Sony speakers were added to the mix as well.

Some people felt a bit more nostalgic for the console’s design, however, comparing it to the boombox sustained by John Cusack on Say Anything. Or just any boombox, really. Hopefully the S Series won’t make as much noise.

With somewhat less glamor, several Internet users made comparisons between the S Series and a drive-through speaker. I’ll take 120FPS at 1440p, 4K upscaling for gaming, and a custom 512GB NVME SSD to go, thanks.

However, beyond making direct furniture comparisons, the internet also started making requests for specific editions of the S Series. A couple of weeks ago, you may remember the infamous Halo Infinite campaign reveal that Craig the Elder was born out of. gross and naturally fans began to demand an S Series design adorned with this meme. The popular Battle Royale Fall Guys also inspired various designs, while some went to great lengths and redesigned the console with a Minion theme.

However, the reaction was not limited to just people, and a couple of brands chimed in to give their opinion. As we all know, RGB lighting helps improve your PC’s performance, so Corsair created a mockup of what it would look like when applied to the S-Series. Walmart Canada seemed quite relieved they hadn’t leaked this one.
