Woman found dead in Tamworth named after Lauren Mae Bloomer of Birmingham

Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Tamworth have named the victim.

Lauren Mae Bloomer, 25, of Birmingham, sadly died on Friday, November 20.

Police were called to report that a woman had been seriously injured on Bingley Avenue in Dunstall Park, Tamworth, in the early hours of Friday morning (November 20).

Sadly, Lauren died at the scene.

Lauren’s family is being supported by specially trained officers and they have asked that their privacy be respected at this tragic time.

Staffordshire Police confirmed: “At 1.25am on Friday morning the police were called to report that a 25-year-old woman had been seriously injured on Bingley Avenue.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services personnel, the woman sadly died at the scene.



“The woman’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.”

The West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Police called us at 1:37 am for an assault on Bingley Avenue, Tamworth.” We dispatched three ambulances, two paramedic officers, and the MERIT emergency physician and the critical care paramedic to the scene.

“Upon arrival, teams found a woman with life-threatening injuries and worked quickly to administer advanced trauma care to the patient.

“Unfortunately, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save the woman and her death was confirmed at the scene.

“A second patient, a man, was treated at the scene before being transferred to the hospital for further evaluation.”

* Jake Notman, 27, of Bingley Avenue, Tamworth, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Center this morning.
