Romain Saiss’ late goal marked a well-deserved 1-1 draw for Wolves after Tanguy Ndombele put Tottenham ahead by one minute.
It was almost a classic José Mourinho performance once again from Tottenham, as Ndombele sent a low, hard blow to Rui Patricio after 57 seconds.
They then sat down and absorbed a lot of pressure from the Wolves, with just one shot in the second half. But the Spurs were let down by a loose set-piece defense when Saiss took a corner kick in the 86th minute to seal a point for the hosts. Ruben Neves and Fabio Silva had late chances to win for the Wolves, but were thwarted by Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham missed an opportunity to return to the top four and instead edged Man City in fifth place, but now they are four Premier League games without a win. Wolves go up one place to eleventh.
