Newcastle has been able to name a relatively strong side to Gameweek 12 after a surge in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases at its training ground.
That saw their Gameweek 11 trip to Aston Villa postponed and also called into question today’s match.
Despite Steve Bruce’s midweek revelations that he was understaffed, the owners of Callum wilson (6.6 million pounds sterling), Jamal lewis (£ 4.3 million) and Karl Darlow (£ 5.0m) you can breathe a sigh of relief.
They all start Saturday afternoon’s meeting with West Bromwich Albion in a 4-4-2 formation.
Wilson is paired with Joelinton (£ 5.7 million) in the top two spots, with whom he shared a profitable partnership in a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace on Gameweek 10.
Matt ritchie (£ 4.9 million) and Miguel Almiron (£ 5.6m) on the flanks, while Bruce has been forced to commit the majority on defense.
Lewis and Emil krafth (£ 4.3 million) are on the left and right back respectively, but the midfielder Isaac hayden (£ 4.8m) falls in the center of the back next to Ciaran Clark (4.5 million pounds sterling).
Allan Saint-Maximin (£ 5.2 million), Federico Fernandez (£ 4.8 million), Jamaal lascelles (£ 4.3 million), Fabian Schär (£ 4.9 million) and Javier Manquillo (£ 4.4 million) are absent for Newcastle today, although the club has yet to confirm which of them are due to self-isolation.
West Bromwich Albion appears to be matching Newcastle’s formation with a 4-4-2 of their own with Callum robinson (£ 5.5 million) and Karlan Grant (£ 5.9 million) upfront.
