What are the areas under Level Three lockdown restrictions?

The areas under Level Three restrictions are:

Liverpool City Region

  • Liverpool
  • Knowsley
  • Wirral
  • St Helens
  • Sefton
  • Halton

What are the level three restrictions?

Level Three will see the most serious measures, including the closure of pubs and bars and a ban on spending the night away from home.

However, “food” restaurants and pubs may remain open and you are allowed to order an alcoholic drink as long as it is with a “substantial meal”.

Casinos, sportsbooks and gyms are also closed.

Local politicians will decide whether personal care, entertainment, sports and leisure businesses should remain open, such as beauty salons and sports.

Nonessential stores, schools, colleges and universities may remain open.

Non-essential travel is discouraged, as is travel outside of the area where restrictions have been imposed.

The move will deal another blow to the hospitality industry with a 10pm curfew already in place.

When will the Level Three lockdown restrictions go into effect?

The measures are expected to come into force today, Wednesday October 14, and will be debated and voted on in Parliament.

How long will the Level Three lockdown restrictions last?

The restrictions will be periodically reviewed and relaxed based on current data.

The measures will be reviewed every four weeks, but this does not necessarily mean that they will be in effect for a specific period of time.

However, it was hinted in September that some of the restrictions could be in place for six months.
