Great British Bake Off fans praised contestant Laura Adlington during Tuesday’s finale after she got excited about the signature baking.
After her eight custard slices failed to settle, 31-year-old Laura hid her head in the freezer as she cried from the stressful challenge.
With the added pressure of creating custard in a warm tent at the height of the summer heat wave, the star was thrilled by her melted creations.

She wrote on Twitter after the finale aired: ‘I’m so excited (surprise, surprise). How beautiful was that ending !? I can’t believe it’s over. I feel so blessed and incredibly proud of everyone who made this happen. ”
However, even though the creations were not established in time, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith praised it for its “strong and sharp flavors”.
