Half-time player ratings
Bettinelli – 6
Very vocal throughout. She could do little with the goal and little more than that, but she cleaned it well when necessary.
Spence – 5
Asleep from a launch that led to the corner that led to the goal. He tried to move forward and threw a good ball.
Dijksteel – 6
Solid so far. He kept his composure in a difficult moment when he went face to face with Pedro.
Hall – 4
Blame the goal. Let Cathcart slip away too easily.
McNair – 5
A tough night for him so far, trying to take care of Ken Sema, who has been Watford’s brightest player.
Johnson – 6
He did his defensive job well, but he will want more influence in the last third.
Howson – 6
One of the best Boro players in that half. He looked good in possession and also contributed defensively at times.
Saville – 5
Nothing has fallen in love with him so far. The touch has been a bit off.
Innkeeper – 5
He hasn’t been able to get involved in the game, with Boro quite tame in the last third so far.
Assombalonga – 6
Boron’s brightest attack spark. She had two very good chances, one of which could only have come within inches of topping the Boro level. Trying to make things happen.
Fletcher – 6
A couple of half chances and they made life difficult for the opposing defenders, but the touch was also lacking in crucial moments.
