Storm Alex hit Cornwall and the South West over the weekend.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning, which means “be vigilant,” as strong winds and rain were forecast.
Gusts of 65 mph were forecast in areas like Ilfracombe, Plymouth and Newquay.
Before the storm hits, Steve Ramsdale, chief meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “It will be quite a miserable end to the work week for the south and south west of England as Storm Alex brings heavy rain and gale force winds from around 60-65 mph for some.
“As the strong winds and rain associated with Storm Alex recede from Britain later on Friday, another low pressure system is moving towards the UK from the east, bringing more very heavy rain and strong winds. for many over the weekend. “
