A woman who was charged with murder in connection with an investigation into infant deaths at Countess of Chester Hospital will appear in court this morning.
Lucy Letby, of Arran Avenue, Hereford, faces eight counts of murder and 10 counts of attempted murder.
The charges relate to a series of non-fatal deaths and collapses during the period June 2015 to June 2016.
The 30-year-old nurse was arrested again on Tuesday, November 10, and has subsequently been charged.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said Wednesday: “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorized Cheshire Police to charge a health professional with murder in connection with an ongoing investigation into a series of infant deaths. at Countess of Chester Hospital. “
It will appear in Warrington Magistrates Court today.
